Party Time
May. 21st, 2009 07:48 pmConQuesT, the Kansas City science fiction convention, starts tomorrow -- however tonight is the pre-convention party. So in a few minutes I am out the door to a party.
So of course, all the locals have to bring a contribution to this party. I though pretty hard about what would work, and of course I leaned toward cookies or cinnamon cakes. I am just built tht way. Instead, I settled on a fat crate of strawberries. I found a beautiful one at CostCo this evening on the way home, so now I don't have to agonize over lovely baked things with cinnamon, because I won't be bringing any.
I think I will leave almost all chores until tomorrow, since I have the whole day off and nothing will start until 3 PM or later. I have already made the list of things to pack and corral into the car. This year is my 33rd trip to this convention, so I can hope that it will all just flow without much problem.
